Map reader Tina Thörner and Colin McRae were leading the Dakar rally of 2005 when they crashed their car. Experiencing severe back pain, Tina had to be air-lifted from the scene by helicopter. The accident brought back memories of an earlier trauma, when Tina’s rally car went over a cliff and fell forty meters to the surface of a mountain lake.
In describing the damage sustained in such accidents, Tina says: "My muscles were pulled apart and have grown back into position, but will never be the same again.
I do, however, experience a pleasant feeling after using the Back on Track products. I use the T-shirt and the neck brace periodically throughout the entire day. Mostly I use them when returning from the races, to help diminish my pain."
As a precaution, I also use the Back on Track back brace whilst racing, especially during the long distance races, and regardless of the 60 degree temperatures inside the car. In the evenings, after we have been driving, I always have some degree of pain somewhere in my body. I then use the Back on Track bedding products, confident that I will have far less pain in the morning".
- Second place in the Dakar rally of 2006.

The Back on Track Neck Cover with Polo Neck was designed in co-operation with the Swedish Patient Rehabilitation Organization for sufferers of whiplash injury.
The Neck Cover with Polo Neck design has a "bib" front and rear, which are of the same size. The rear bib is designed to cover the back's big trapezium muscle. This is an important area for those suffering from whiplash injuries as the trapezium muscle contributes significantly to a person's neck pain. The Neck Brace offers protection for the whole shoulder area.
If pain also affects your shoulders or shoulder blades, then we recommend that you complement the neck brace with a Back on Track T-shirt or Long Sleeved T-shirt to cover the whole area.
The Neck Brace with Velcro covers the neck and the upper part of the thoracic chest and spine. Although one may presume that the neck vertebrae are often the perceived site of pain in whiplash injuries, it is very common that the upper thoracic spine area also contributes to the pain. The brace offers protection for half the shoulder area.
This neck brace is fastened with Velcro in the front.
If pain also affects your shoulders or shoulder blades, then we recommend that you complement the neck brace with a Back on Track T-shirt or Long Sleeved T-shirt to cover the whole area.
