What is Welltex®?
Welltex® is Back on Track’s first and most well-known technology. A synergy between ancient Chinese experience and modern textile technology. Our Welltex®-infused products contain a unique mixture of reflecting minerals. The mineral tiles grinds into a fine powder that gets infused into the treads of the material to our fabrics. The minerals catch the body heat and convert it into a form of long-wave infrared energy that reflects back to your skin, muscles and joints. Infrared energy is well known for its ability to stimulate blood circulation, which can support and aid during recovery from injuries, and help to relieve tensions.
The fibres in Welltex® are durable and strong, perfect in our products for preparation and recovery. People and animals emit body heat during both rest and activity, so the products can be used when it suits you. However, the technology is most efficient during activity when the body temperature rises. It is the reflected infrared energy that gives the well-known Back on Track effect. Therefore, all products have breathable fabric to make them comfortable at all times as the heat is not trapped or insulated.
How Welltex® works:
The Welltex® fabric catches the warmth your body naturally emits, changes it into a form of infrared heat radiation, and then reflects it back into your, skin, bones, muscles and joints. Infrared radiation is a known energy form, used to increase well-being and generates a favourable effect especially for muscles and joints. The reflected heat helps to reduce muscle tension, supporting blood circulation which can aid the recovery process from injury and strain. Since humans and animals radiate body heat both during rest and activity, the products can be used advantageously both during the night and during the exercise itself. However, at rest, the radiation is less than if the body is working. Therefore, the most effective way is to use the products, both at rest and during activity in the most exposed areas. Back on Track® products work naturally in generating their own heat, therefore the products are at no risk of being found as doping. No external heat has been added. The result is consistent, soothing warmth exclusively created by reflecting heat from the body.
How to use Welltex®
It is important to start using the products gradually so that the body gets a chance to get used to the effect of the fabrics. Use the product for a maximum of 4 hours for the first 2-3 days. The reason for the recommendation is that some people may experience increased sensation . In horse and dog it can manifest in a slight swelling. This is due to the increased blood flow, which is actually a good sign of the effect of the ceramic fabric. (If there is increased sensation or swelling that occurs after just an hour of use, stop the use of the product for that day. You may introduce the product a little more gradually in the following days.) After the introduction period, the use should be increased to at least 8 hours per day, preferably longer. Even after an hour, a positive impact on tense muscles and rigid joints is often experienced. More persistent conditions may require several days, up to 10-20 days, before the desired result is achieved.
Notes:
» It is not recommended to use Back on Track® products simultaneously with ointments/liniments.
» It is not recommended to use Back on Track®products during pregnancy.
» When used in combination with therapy, always consult first with your physician or veterinarian. Back on Track® products do not have any side effects, however in the first few days, a strong effect may occur. The best course of action is to remove the product and in the following days gradually increase the time of usage again.
